Doors & Windows

I have heard it said that "when God closes a door, He opens a window". In my experience, when God closes a door... you hang out in the "waiting room" until He thinks you're READY to see what is behind door number two.
I think I'm gonna find the coziest chair in the waiting room, grab a magazine, and wait to hear the door creak open.

At 8 1/2 months pregnant, I'm wishing my waiting rooms had cozy chairs!! HA!! Love your analogy.

I think sometimes that is just what he wants...he wants us to sit down in a cozy chair and wait on him and with him. HE is all about doing what it takes to draw us to himself :)
But, sometimes he does open the window just a crack...just enough to get us thinking...
Or other times he opens the new door and asks you to go ahead and close the other one before you can step through the new one in faith...that's my experiance right now. :)
I love your analogy!

So true! I have had more than my share of time in life's waiting room. In some way or another, we are possibly always waiting on God. I have also learned that sometimes while I think I am waiting, God is working. He just doesn't need my help!
